About Us

The Breath Therapy Institute was established in 2013. The institute is managed and led by Nimrod Kaufman, Anna Lev Ari, Irit Netzer-Kaufman, and a professional team that accompanies all the institute's activities.

At the core of our vision stands the desire and mission to make breathing accessible and to spread it as a tool for improving the life experience on all levels, to as many people as possible around the world. The fulfillment of this vision is carried out through the transfer of knowledge and the creation of experiential breathing spaces: training therapists, workshops, retreats, lectures, podcasts, 1 on 1 breathing sessions, and more.

The community includes over 300 graduates across the country, who spread the therapeutic approach taught and implemented here—a gentle approach, based on listening and creating a held and safe therapeutic space, while maintaining uncompromising professional standards.

A bit about us

We believe that within each and every one of us, there is an inner compass, a natural healing power, and a deep capacity for change and growth. Breathing is the gateway through which we can meet what is happening inside us, the pain and the beauty, with gentleness, safety, and listening.

We believe in creating a safe space where we can pause for a moment, breathe, and be exactly as we are - there is no need to prove, change, or "succeed" in the process. Just to be.

Therefore, we do not push or accelerate processes. Every journey is personal, and every individual is invited to progress at their own pace, out of choice and inner listening. There is no destination to reach - only a gentle path that reveals itself step by step.

Through the breath and through the body, we learn together to listen to what is asking to be heard. To meet emotions, memories, and experiences - without being left alone in it. We are there, together, all along the way.

Our work is based on a deep connection between body, heart, and consciousness. On establishing resources and strengths. On a gradual return to trusting our body, and developing an inner sense of safety, stability, and regulation capability.

We believe that every treatment begins with creating a human connection that is present, stable, and containing.

Breathwork is powerful, which is why we approach it with sensitivity and care in every inhale and exhale, in every word and every encounter, leaving "the wheel" in the hands of the patient, allowing them to direct the intensity of the session.

We believe in change that is built slowly and gently, growing out of a stable and holding therapeutic ground. Not quick fixes, but a gradual and tailored deep process that continues long after the session is over. Therefore, we work with breathing in a holistic way, allowing it to be integrated as part of a wide range of therapeutic techniques and approaches.

Our role is to accompany you on the journey inward, to be witnesses to the path, and to walk by your side at your own pace.
